Thousands of protesting Bayelsa State students from various institutions of higher learning yesterday blocked the state office of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in Yenagoa, accusing its management of failing the state.

The students, under the aegis of the National Union of Bayelsa State Students (NUBSS) caused temporary traffic gridlock along the Melford Okilo way in Yenagoa, the state capital.
