A group of heavily armed hoodlums on Saturday stormed Elele community in Ikwere local government area of Rivers State, killing two persons and abducting one.
The Punch gathered that the hoodlums, who were said to be cultists, clad in black attire, invaded the place in a tinted car and operated without restraint.

A landlord in the community (name withheld) said, “A group of gunmen dressed in black attire invaded my compound in Elele at about 8pm. They came in a tinted vehicle.


“They killed two persons and kidnapped another one. They (those killed and the kidnapped) are all my tenants. I don’t know why this happened, but you are aware of what is currently going on in Rivers State.”

However, when contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ahmad Muhammad, said he had no information yet on the incident.
