Commissioner of Police, Babatunde Kokumo, has confirmed the arrest of five policemen that allegedly pushed a commercial driver to his death on Tuesday.

The death of the driver identified as John caused protests in some parts of Benin City. Three persons were killed and five police Hilux vans were burnt during the fracas. Identities of the affected policemen have not been ascertained at the time of filing this report.
