It was black Friday in Okwelle, Onuimo Local Government Area of Imo State, as a trigger happy police officer, Sergeant Abu Item, gunned down a 20 years old tipper conductor, Ifeanyi Okafor, for failing to offer him N500 bribe.

The police officer who is a Sergeant, from Cross River State, was posted to the Okwelle Police Station. He was reported to have demanded N500 from the driver but the conductor informed him that what they had was N100.
