Three persons have been reported killed and houses burnt in a fresh communal clash in Odukpani local government area of Cross River State.

The skirmish is between Okoyong and Ikot Offiong communities, it was gathered.

Vice chairman of the council Aniofiok Inyang, who visited the area yesterday, confirmed the incident, saying two Okoyong persons, and one from Ikot Offiong were killed in the fight.

He said security agencies have been deployed in the area.

The clash is said to be over land.
