There is an ongoing protest by members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) over the continued suspension of academic activities across tertiary institutions in the country due to the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). The protesters mobilized at Aba Road, Umuahia, Abia State; Government House, Jimeta, Yola South LGA, Adamawa State; Cross River State Council, Calabar Municipal, Cross River State; Government House Roundabout, Abakaliki LGA, Ebonyi State; Ilawe Road, Ado-Ekiti LGA, Ekiti State; Owerri Municipal, Imo State; Government House, Minna, Chanchaga LGA, Niger State; Agodi Gate, Ibadan North LGA, Oyo State; Rivers State Government House, Port Harcourt LGA, Rivers State; Sokoto State Council, Kaduna Road, Sokoto LGA, Sokoto State; and Zamfara State Council along Sokoto Road, Gada Biyu in Gusau LGA, Zamfara State. GSF personnel have been deployed to the location.
