The Delta State Police Command has said that the traditional ruler of Asamokwu community, Obi Okwudiki Odumodu , was beheaded in a community crisis that resulted from a disagreement that erupted over the sharing formula of a derivation fund.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, stated this on Friday in Asaba.
Obi Odumodu was beheaded on Thursday during a crisis that erupted between the two communities in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State.
PUNCH Metro had earlier reported that the hoodlums that beheaded the monarch also ambushed four soldiers and killed three on the spot while others who sustained injuries were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre Asaba, as a result causing tension in the community.
