Description

There have been disruption of Public Order and Safety by two rival cult groups at Anua Offot and Use Offot, both at Nwaniba in Uyo Local Government Area, leading to the loss of four(4) lives. This development has birthed an unholy atmosphere within the aforementioned area since Saturday 6 May 2023 when a young man was first gruesomely murdered at the wee hours of the night and his corpse abandoned along Nwaniba Road by Drug law enforcement Office.

The Police have condemned in strong terms the wanton destruction of lives and has vowed to bring perpetrators to book. Hence, Tactical resources have been deployed to restore order and fish out perpetrators.

Residents of the said Communities and it environs are advised to maintain calmness and go about their lawful businesses without fear of molestation and be assured of their safety because of Police strategies already emplaced.
