The Ondo State Police Command, on Monday, said it had arrested a man, Adebayo Peter, who allegedly killed his friend, simply known as Lekan, in Akure, Ondo State capital.

The incident was said to have occurred on Friday evening at the Ireakari-Oloko area of Akure, the state capital.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident and said the matter had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department.

“The matter has been transferred to the state CID for further investigation. But I can’t confirm if the suspect acted under the influence of drug,” the PPRO stated.
