SUSPECTED Fulani herdsmen have kidnapped three Mobile Policemen attach to PMF 51, Oghara, drafted to Ohoror axis of the East West Road in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was gathered that police officers, all inspectors were kidnapped alongside their Ak-47 riffles with ammunition.

t was also gathered that the victims were in a team of the six mobile policemen on duty at the point.

Though the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright could not confirm nor replied text message sent to him, but a senior security source attached to the Delta State Police command confirmed the incident.

According to the senior security source, The three Mobile policemen were among the six security men that were drafted to Ughelli-Patani road nipping point by Ohoro community in Ughelli North local government area.

“While they were at the nipping point, a young man simply identified as Moses Progress, 22, from Uwheru Community came to inform them that he was robbed of his OPPO phone, money by suspected Fulani herdsmen under a nearby bridge close to their point while performing rituals to the god of the river.

“The leader of the team has to detail the three Inspectors to follow the complainant to the scene with their AK-47 riffles.

“While waiting for their return, they saw the complainant on top of a motorcycle without our men, he was stopped and to inquire about the three Mobile police officers that went with him.

“He told them that, when they got to the scene, they were attacked at the bush by six Fulani herdsmen and he has to escape while the policemen ran into different directions.
