There was panic in parts of Ogoni thusrday 16th July 2015 morning as gunmen suspected to be from Wakama community in Okrika invaded residents of Kira, Kporghor ad Gio villages in Tai local government area of Rivers State.

Sources from one of the victim communities said the invaders stormed the communities shooting indiscriminately and cuasing residents to scamper to safety abandoning their homes.

According to the residents, the attackers beheaded a young man from Kira, whom the Wakama people accused of harbouring some persons who they claimed have been attacking Wakama community.

The attackers also invaded Gio and Kporghor villages are were shooting sporadically fireworks forced the villagers to flee to nearby villages for safety.
