A former councilor and father of seven, Mr. Benbede Kitchen, on Wednesday, committed suicide by hanging himself in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State3.

The 43-year old was said to have been found at about 4 am dangling from the ceiling of his room with a bedsheet around his neck. Mr. Kitchen, popularly called G.K. Bekegbo, was said to have left no suicide note, a situation that has made the reason for the suicide hazy.
