Gunmen shot dead five persons in the D/Line area, close to a popular hotel in Oroworoko commu­nity in Port Harcourt, Rivers State Saturday night, according Sunday Sun.

A source told Sunday Sun that the assailants alighted from their vehicle, went straight into a house in the street and fired gunshots at the occupants.

The incident happened about 8.00pm, but the source could not confirm if it was a cult-related killing.

An eyewitness said policemen from the Olu- Obasanjo Police Station were seen carrying the corpses away to the morgue.
