Description

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has postponed the Edo state election that was schedule to hold on Saturday 10th September 2016 but due to insecurity alert by the Nigeria police and the Department of State Security.

After a meeting held on Thursday 8th September with security operatives and stakeholder, INEC decided to postponed the poll to Wednesday 28th September 2016. See copy of the statement in attachment.
