No fewer than 3 have been killed following renewed gangsters rivalries in the Ekpo Abasi area of Calabar South.

It is unclear what the current fight is about with gangster activities spiking shortly after the commencement of degree examinations in the state-owned Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH.

On Sunday, an unnamed youth was maimed by a rival group at Ekpo Abasi junction and died a few days later due to his wounds sources said.

Monday saw some students shooting in the air on campus following the completion of their examinations prompting unscheduled patrol by the ‘Operations Skolombo’ team stationed at CRUTECH gate.
